What makes the best-chocolate-recipes?

If there is anything I've learned about making the best-chocolate-recipes is that it is very important to understand the characters and chemistry of chocolate.

I am constantly learning new things in my kitchen. I love to cook and find it to be alot of fun. This not to say that I don't sometimes get frustrated. I surely do! Especially when a recipe doesn't turn out the way it is indicated . And, if a recipe comes from a popular cook or book it frustrates me even further.

To me, to pass a recipe on to someone else, it should be really good. Recipes shouldn't just be gathered, labeled under a famous name and published in a book. Do you know what I mean?

I have tested every-single recipe featuring chocolate before posting them to this site. I also have many testers that sample the finish product. None of the recipes get posted to my site until I feel they are ready to tantalize your taste buds. Even if that means reformulating or improving the recipe until I get it right.

Where do my best-chocolate-recipes come from?

The best-chocolate-recipes on my site are recipes that I have used over an over through the years. Some are recipes that I have developed myself from my own kitchen experiments.

Some of the recipes come from the best cooks I know, including my family and friends. You know, we all have a friend that always has a great new recipe. I also want your favorite chocolate recipes.

I have put together some information for you about cooking with chocolate. This has tips on melting chocolate, making chocolate decorations and chocolate garnishes. This is a must read for the chocolate novice (beginner).

Kitchen Gadgets

Most home cooks do not have a kitchen full of gadgets or professional bakeware. (I don't.) As I obtain more equipment for my kitchen, I'll tell you which ones I recommend.

The majority of the recipes on this web-site require only the standard kitchen equipment.

Here are some great guidelines to read before preparing any of the recipes from this site.

Disclaimer

The best-chocolate-recipes on this web-site have been carefully tested in our kitchen and by our tasters. To the best of our knowledge, they are safe and nutritious for ordinary use and users.

If you have food allergies, or have special food requirements or health issues please read the contents of each recipe carefully and decide whether or not they may be a problem for you.

All recipes are used at the risk of the consumer!

We cannot and will not be responsible any hazards, loss or damage that may occur as a result of any recipe use. Please contact your medical advisor prior to use of any recipe if you have special needs, allergy requirements or health problems.

Please follow these guidelines when preparing any chocolate recipes from this site.

1. Read recipes carefully all the way through before beginning. (I know, this takes patience!) Make your shopping list to be sure that you have all the ingredients.

2. Be sure to follow the instructions exactly as I give them to you. Some recipes will be in sequence. Please read all parts and do them on order.

3.Purchase the finest chocolate and other ingredients thatyou can afford. Preferably, the same that is recommended in the recipe. Remember-different chocolate-different results.

4.High quality chocolates will enhance your best-chocolate-recipes.

5. Pay close attention to the timing and temperature. Follow them exactly. (If you need to check if your oven is baking at the correct temperature, you may purchase an oven thermometer . These are available at grocery, cooking and hardware stores.

6. It is very important to use the pan size indicated in the recipe. (Yes, the size of your pan really matters!)

7. Remember: in chocolate desserts the flavor is built by layering different chocolates. This makes them extremely rich. So when slicing and serving a small portion size will be very satisfying. If you are already a chocolate lover, you know that a little chocolate goes a long way!

8. All recipes should be served at room temperature, unless otherwise noted. This brings out the full flavor of chocolate. To bring refridgerated desserts to room temperature, remove them from the refridgerator and let them sit for atleast 30 minutes to 1 hour.

9. Always remember that is through our trials and errors that we learn. From our mistakes, we gain experience. We can choose to let them be a building block to motivate us and try again, or we can allow them to hinder us.

Cooking and baking is not rocket science, and I am not a scientist, chef, or master chocolatier. What is most important is that I have a passion for chocolate, cooking and baking. I have lots of experience and knowledge.

I love to share with others what I know. So don't forget to pass along to others what you learn. When you are giving to others, there is no holds bar on the return! Good luck making and choosing your best-chocolate-recipes.
