Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons liqueur such as hazelnut, Gaillano, coffee or your favorite flavor
  • 3/4 cup (35%) whipping cream

Directions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, combine cream and chocolate chips.
  • Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until chocolate is shiny and almost melted. Stir until melted.
  • If you are using a double boiler, melt your cream and chocolate chips over low heat until the chocolate is melted and stirs smooth.
  • Whisk your liqueur or coffee into the chocolate mixture.
  • Transfer your fondue to a fondue pot.
  • Arrange your dipping items on a platter and serve.

Tip: Try to use a fondue pot with a tea light that is made for chocolate fondue. That way, your chocolate will not burn. Your left over chocolate fondue can be refrigerated and warmed in a microwave before serving. Or, you can even make it ahead and reheat it.
