Have you ever tasted chocolate-potato-chips?

What? Chocolate-potato-chips! This is one of my most unusual homemade candy recipes. Some of you may not like them, but some of you will. They are triple chocolate covered potato chips in a potato stick form. If you sometimes crave something salty, sweet and crunchy, just one of these chocolate potato sticks clusters will fix that craving in an instant!
My children really like them, so do all of their friends. Who knows, maybe this will become one of your favorite chocolate candy recipes.

Chocolate Covered Potato Stick Clusters
Ingredients
- 1-12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips(Hershey)
- 1-12-oz. package milk chocolate chips(Nestle)
- 32 ozs. or 2 pounds of finely chopped white chocolate(Baker's)(not white chips, unless they are pure white chocolate)
- 5-5 oz. packages of French's Potato Sticks
Directions:
- In a double boiler or microwave safe bowl combine your three types of chocolate.
- Melt your chocolate over low heat until it stirs smooth. (If using the microwave) Melt for 1 minute, stir then microwave again. Repeat this process until your chocolate stirs smooth.
- Let cool for around 5 minutes.
- While cooling, place a few sheets of wax paper onto baking sheets.
- Stir in the potato sticks.
- Drop your potato stick clusters onto the wax paper with a tablespoon.
- Let your candies completely cool before wrapping.
- I always layer mine between layers of wax paper and then wrap them in plastic wrap so the they are airtight. You can also store them in plastic containers.
- Refrigerate until you are ready to serve them.
- You can make these clusters 1 week ahead.
Note: This recipe makes around 7 dozen clusters. You may half this recipe for a smaller batch. Have fun!
