Do you enjoy a soft-chocolate-chip-cookie?

These by far, are my favorite soft-chocolate-chip-cookies. With a light colored crumb and soft chewy texture, these chocolate chip cookies will keep all of your friends and family begging for more! There is a secret ingredient to this chocolate chip cookie recipe, it's instant vanilla pudding mix. Shh! Don't let this secret get out! This recipe makes around 5 dozen or more depending on how big you choose to make your cookies. They also freeze great! Enjoy your cookies!

Soft-Chocolate-Chip-Cookies

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 (3.4 ounce) packages of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chopped walnuts(optional)

Directions:

  • Place your oven rack to the center of your oven.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Whisk together your flour and baking soda, then set aside.
  • In a large bowl with an electric mixer(or by hand if you don't have one) cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
  • Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended.
  • Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
  • Blend in the flour mixture.
  • Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Edges should be golden brown.
  • Remove cookie from oven and allow to cool on baking sheet for two minutes.
  • Remove chocolate chip cookies to cooling rack to finish cooling.

Storage: Your chocolate chip cookies cookies may be stored in an air-tight container between layers of wax paper or kitchen parchment. When you are finished packing your cookies, if you are going to store them at room temperature, lay a piece of white bread in the top of the container before you seal it. The cookies will absorb the moisture from the bread and remain, fresher and softer longer! They will freeze for about 2-4 months.
